1. 謝謝St. Bridget教友們鼎力支持耶穌聖心修會到中國傳教的使命。葉修女正準備2011的中國傳教之旅，我們樂意支持這項有意義的使命。今天你有機會籍慶祝母親節籌款午餐支持及參與這中國傳教使命。請參加午餐也歡迎捐款。謝謝!
2. 牧民義會將於今天下午1時30分開會，請各會員準時出席。
3. 香港教區司鐸協會會長–關傑棠神父，將於五月七日至十日到訪LA，於五月八日到St. Bridget主持中文彌撒。彌撒後會見教友，並為購買其著作「漁夫集–精選篇」簽名。是日下午十二時三十分至一時三十分在聖堂和大家分享「教友年」的意義和教友的使命。歡迎教友們參加！
4. 為方便与鼓勵大家參加關傑棠神父的坐談會, Line dance 練習今天停課.  再下一個星期, 5/15, 因CCD聚會, 我們也會停課.
5. 本堂資深教友吳栢源先生Patrick Ng的喪禮將於5月10日，星期二，早9時30分在本堂舉行。我們感謝吳先生多年來拹助服務堂區，特別幫助為暖流打中文字。請各位教友繼續為吳先生的靈魂安息祈禱。
6. 基璴英語班約導師及學生們誠心多謝本堂教友的鼎力支持，使籌款順利成功，所共籌得的794元將用於購置教室用品。
7. 牧民議會定於5月22日，星期日舉辦堂區同樂日，午餐將於11時30分開始，遊戲在下午1時開始。歡迎各教友參加及敬請你們的朋友參如。費用為每位$5，請各教友可在5月15日開始購票。為感謝慕道班的導師及各工作人員的貢獻，我們樂意敬請他們免貲參加。
8. 耆英組在5日14日，星期六舉辦一年一度的朝聖一日遊，巴士現已滿額。當日早上8時開始到下午5時半將會參觀聖若望神學院 (St. John Seminary)，Camarillo Outlet 及San Buenaventura Mission。
9. 聖母軍將於5月21日星期六,早上9時半舉行聖母進教之佑彌撒，歡迎教友參加。
10. 北美華語第十八屆天主教基督活力運動實習班將於5月26至29日在河濱縣聖言會舉行。彭保祿神父是其中講者之一，有興趣者請盡快與Maggie Lau聯絡及報名。
11. 本堂區將於5月27日下午12時至7時在聖若瑟樓栛助總教區舉辦打手指紋紀錄登記，如有教友在堂區服務及與十八歲以下少青有接觸者，如還沒有履行這登記，請聯絡Michael Lau預約。

The Third Sunday of Easter

1. We thank the parishioners of St. Bridget’s for their wholehearted support of the Sacred Heart sisters’ mission to evangelize China.  Sister Grace is preparing for the 2011 trip, which our church is supporting actively.  On Mother’s Day, today, you will have an opportunity to support this mission by taking part in the fund raising luncheon.  All donations are also welcome, of course.
2. The PPC will have a meeting today at 1:30 p.m.  All members are requested to attend punctually.
3. Fr John Kwan, the chair of the Hong Kong diocese priests association, is visiting Los Angeles from May 7^th through 10^th.  He will be celebrating the Chinese Mass at St. Bridget’s today.  After Mass, he will meet with the parishioners and sign his latest book “The Fisherman”.  (The book will be sold to HFS members for half price.)  From 12:30 to 1:30 he will give a talk in the church on the meaning of “the Year of the Laity” and the mission of the laity.  All parishioners are welcome to attend!
4. To encourage attendance at Father Kwan’s talk, and because of the CCD meeting next week, line dance will be suspended for two weeks.
5. Funeral service for Mr. Patrick Ng, our long time parishioner and Chinese editor of Warm Front, will be held on Tuesday, May 10^th, at 9:30 a.m.  We thank Mr. Ng for all his contributions to our church, especially for his work on Warm Front.  Please pray for the repose of his soul.
6. The instructors and students of the Basic English Class sincerely thank the support of this church for making the fund raising a success.  The $794 will be used to purchase classroom necessities.
7. The PPC has decided to hold a Parish Fun Day on Sunday May 22^nd.  Lunch will begin at 11:30, and the games will start at 1 p.m.  Parishioners are requested to bring their friends.  The cost is $5 per person.  Tickets will be sold starting next Sunday, May 15^th.  In gratitude to the teachers and helpers of RCIA, the cost of their tickets will be waived.
8. The annual pilgrimage bus trip of the Everyoung Society is full.  It will take place on Saturday May 14th from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will include St. John’s Seminary, the Camarillo Outlet and the San Buenaventura Mission.
9. The Legion of Mary will sponsor a Mass for Our Lady Help of Christians on Saturday, May 21^st at 9:30 a.m.  All parishioners are welcome.
10. The 18^th annual Chinese Cursillo Movement workshop will take place from May 26^th to 29^th at the Riverside Holy Word Society.  Father Paul Pang will be one of the speakers.  If you are interested, please contact Maggie Lau to register as soon as possible.
11. On Friday, May 27^th from noon to 7 p.m. in St. Joseph House, our church will assist the archdiocese in fingerprinting and registration for the parishioners who serve in the church and have contact with young people under the age of 18.  Please contact Michael Lau for reservation if you need to be registered.
