1. 8月15日聖母蒙召升天節,今年雖然非當守瞻禮,晚上7時30分有彌撒,請各位前來參與彌撒特敬聖母。
2. 為慶祝林健漢神父發願入慈幼會金禧及晉鐸40周年,下主日8月21日的主日中英文聖祭將會在早上10時一起舉行,請各教友留意及準時參與。
3. 本堂新的青年中心也將在8月21日主日開幕,到時歡迎教友參觀。
4. 為慶祝林神父發願入慈幼會金禧及晉鐸40周年,牧民議會定於8月20日星期六晚上在海皇翠亨邨大酒樓舉行晚宴,餐券費用為$35,今天彌撒後請與Josephine Wong購餐券
5. 牧民議會將在今天下午一時半開會,請各會員準時出席。
6. 請為本堂的青年Paul Yeh, Timothy Chiu, Dorothy Chan, Carol Tsang, Danita Ng, Kelvin Leung及Ming Lu祈禱,他們將與三十多名來自費城,德州,及北加州的青年一起參加在馬德里舉行的世青大會,今天芵文彌撒有祝福禮,祈求聖神保佑他們一路平安及聖竉萬增。

9. 恩保德神父和「逾越知音」為跟隨利瑪竇神父在中國福傳的足跡,去年從澳門到北京,將所見所聞攝製成DVD,現已空運到北美。下星期8/21彌撒後,歡迎到外面攤位購買。
10. 新一年度的中文成人慕道班已開始,請邀請你們的非教友親友到來,給他們一個認識天主的機會,也歡迎再慕道者參加。上課時間:每主日上午11時至12時半在Conference Room#1。有意者請與葉修女或慕道班導師聯絡。
11. 聖家會將在9月3-4日在Sierra Madre 的Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center舉辦退省,退省主講者/導師是Calgary 的鄔維揚執事(Deacon John Woo, MD) ,會員費用是$100,非會員$120,請與Maggie Tsui 或Connie Lau報名。

The Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
1. Monday August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Although being on a Monday, it is not a holy day of obligation this year, there will be a Mass at 7:30 p.m. Please come and join in the Mass to venerate our Lady.
2. Please note that to celebrate the golden anniversary of Fr. Lam becoming a Salesian, and also the fortieth anniversary of his priesthood, we will have a combined Mass next Sunday August 21st at 10 a.m. Please be punctual for this occasion.
3. The new youth center for the parish has been completed, and will officially open on August 21st. Parishioners are welcome to visit on that day.
4. To celebrate the golden anniversary of Father Lam becoming a Salesian, and the fortieth anniversary of his priesthood, the PPC has decided to hold a banquet at Empress Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park in the evening of August 20th. Tickets are $35 per person. Josephine Wong will be selling the tickets after the Masses today.
5. The PPC will meet today at 1:30 p.m. All members please attend punctually.
6. Please pray for Paul Yeh, Timothy Chiu, Dorothy Chan, Carol Tsang, Danita Ng, Kelvin Leung and Ming Lu. These young people from our church will join thirty some youths from Philadelphia, Texas, and Northern California in their pilgrimage to the World Youth Day held in Madrid, Spain. Pray that the Holy Spirit will grant them bountiful Grace and a safe journey.
7. This year’s California Chinese Catholic Living Camp (CACCLC) will be held up in the Bay Area during Labor Day Weekend, from Friday September 2nd to Monday the 5th. The theme is “Back to the Future, with God,” and the spiritual director is Father Anthony Ho from Vancouver, Canada. Highlighted camp activities include father’s talks, group workshops, praise and worship, and taize. Anyone above 18 is invited to attend. More information can also be found on http://www.cacclc.net. 8. Line Dance will be suspended today. It will resume on August 21st.
9. Father 恩保德 and his “逾越知音” went from Macau to Beijing last year to follow the missionary footsteps of Father Matteo Ricci. They have made a DVD of their video. It will be available next Sunday (August 21st) after Mass outside the church.
10. The new annual Chinese RCIA class has begun on June 12th. We invite you to ask your non-Catholic relatives and friends to attend, to give them a chance to know God. Classes are held every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 in Conference Room #1. Those interested please contact Sister Grace or the RCIA teachers.
11. The Holy Family Society will hold its annual retreat from September 3rd to the 4th at the Mater Dolorosa Center in Sierra Madre. The retreat director will be Deacon John Woo MD, from Calgary. The cost is $100 to members, and $120 to non-members. Please register with Maggie Tsui or Connie Lau.
