主題:伯多綠的信德

1. ​昨天本堂為恭賀林健漢神父發願入慈幼會金禧及晉鐸40周年在海皇翠亨邨大酒樓舉行晚宴。多謝各教友參與,我們恭賀林神父身體安康,聖寵萬增。多謝林神父為本堂多年服務。
2. ​今天林神父及Patrick Mak在彌撒後將為本堂新的青年中心開幕,聖若瑟樓聖母花園,聖堂外的凉亭重修亦舉行開幕禮,歡迎教友參觀。
3. 兒童道理班將在9月25日復課,如家長還沒有與你們的子女為下學期的課程報名,請與Peter Wong在彌撒前或彌撒後報名。
4. 美西慈幼大家庭將於十日八日星期六在Rosemead 的Don Bosco Technical Institute舉行美西慈幼會區聖母日,慈幼大家庭包括慈幼會會士,母佑會修女,慈幼協進會,慈幼校友會及其他多個團體。當日早上九時開始至下午五時,節目包括諗聖母經,聖母遊行,多個關於聖母的講座及彌撒。當日費用是$12包括午餐及tee shirt一件。請各教友在彌撒後與協進會會員報名。
5. 今天有健康舞班,練習時間是12:30 – 2:30. 在 聖若瑟樓舉行,請準時出席。
6. 加 州天主教華人生活營 (CACCLC) 將於9/2至9/5的勞工節長週末在 Menlo- Park Vallombrosa Center 舉行。主題是「與天主,回到未來」。由來自加拿大溫哥華的何庭耀神父為主講神師。活動內容包括: 神父講座、小組分享、靈修體驗及見証等。歡迎所有十八歲或以上的青年參加。在7/20前報名更有特價優惠:學生/非就業人士收費為$190;就業人士收費 為$225。詳情,請瀏覽 請大家踴躍支持!多謝各位。主佑!
7. 本堂的青年Paul Yeh, Timothy Chiu, Dorothy Chan, Carol Tsang, Danita Ng, Kelvin Leung及Ming Lu與三十多名來自費城,德州,及北加州的青年一起到了馬德里舉行的世青大會,請各教友繼續為他們祈禱,祈求聖神保佑他們一路平安。
8. 8月22日是聖母天地之后瞻禮,請參與彌撒,特敬聖母。
9. 8月27日上午9時30分,本堂將為劉仕明修女舉行追悼彌撒,請各位教友參加,為劉仕明修女安息祈禱。
10. 恩保德神父和「逾越知音」為跟隨利瑪竇神父在中國福傳的足跡,去年從澳門到北京,將所見所聞攝製成DVD,現已空運到北美。彌撒後,歡迎到外面攤位購買。
11. 新一年度的中文成人慕道班已開始,請邀請你們的非教友親友到來,給他們一個認識天主的機會,也歡迎再慕道者參加。上課時間:每主日上午11時至12時半在Conference Room#1。有意者請與葉修女或慕道班導師聯絡。
12. 聖家會將在9月3-4日在Sierra Madre 的Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center舉辦退省,主題:「希望傳人」。退省主講者/導師是Calgary 的鄔維揚執事(Deacon John Wu, MD) ,會員費用是$100,非會員$120,請與Maggie Tsui 或Connie Lau報名。

The Twenty First Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. ​Last evening we celebrated the golden anniversary of Father Lam becoming a Salesian, and the fortieth anniversary of his priesthood. The banquet was held at Empress Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park. We thank all the parishioners who attended. We congratulate Father Lam on his health and increasing grace from God. And we thank him for his years of service at our parish.
2. ​Father Lam and Patrick Mak will preside over the opening of the Youth Center today. All parishioners are welcome to visit.
3. CCD will resume on September 25th. Parents who have not registered for the coming semester please do so with Peter Wong before or after Mass
4. Line Dance will resume today from 12:30 to 2:30 in St. Joseph House.
5. This year’s California Chinese Catholic Living Camp (CACCLC) will be held up in the Bay Area during Labor Day Weekend, from Friday September 2nd to Monday the 5th. The theme is “Back to the Future, with God,” and the spiritual director is Father Anthony Ho from Vancouver, Canada. Highlighted camp activities include father’s talks, group workshops, praise and worship, and taize. Anyone above 18 is invited to attend. More information can also be found on http://www.cacclc.net. We thank everyone for the active support, and God bless you all.
6. Please pray for Paul Yeh, Timothy Chiu, Dorothy Chan, Carol Tsang, Danita Ng, Kelvin Leung and Ming Lu. These young people from our church have joined thirty some youths from Philadelphia, Texas, and Northern California in their pilgrimage to the World Youth Day held in Madrid, Spain. Pray that the Holy Spirit will grant them bountiful Grace and a safe journey.
7. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please attend Mass to venerate our Lady.
8. On Saturday, August 27th at 9:30 a.m., we will celebrate a requiem Mass for Sister Lilia Maria Lau. Please attend and pray for the repose of her soul.
9. Father Giovanni Giampretro (恩保德) and his FOJP (逾越知音) went from Macau to Beijing last year to follow the missionary footsteps of Father Matteo Ricci. They have made a DVD of their video. It is available today after Mass outside the church.
10. The new annual Chinese RCIA class has begun. We invite you to ask your non-Catholic relatives and friends to attend, to give them a chance to know God. Classes are held every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 in Conference Room #1. Those interested please contact Sister Grace or the RCIA teachers.
11. The Holy Family Society will hold its annual retreat from September 3rd to the 4th at the Mater Dolorosa Center in Sierra Madre. The retreat director will be Deacon John Woo MD, from Calgary. The cost is $100 to members, and $120 to non-members. Please register with Maggie Tsui or Connie Lau.
