主題:十字架的愛

1. 美西慈幼大家庭將於十月八日星期六在Rosemead的Don Bosco Technical Institute舉行美西慈幼會區聖母日,慈幼大家庭包括慈幼會,母佑會,慈幼協進會,慈幼校友會及其他多個團體。當日早上九時開始至下午五時,節目包括唸玫瑰經,聖母遊行,多個關於聖母的講座及彌撒。當日費用是$12包括午餐及tee shirt一件。請各教友在彌撒後與協進會會員報名。
2. 羅省總教區多元文化民族部一年一度的 “文化慶祝日Celebration of Cultures” 彌撒將於九月十七日早上九時四十五分在總主教座堂舉行,彌撒將由總主教恭美智Archbishop Jose Gomez主祭, Bishops Alexander Salazar, Oscar Solis及多位不同民族的神父們共祭(包括我們的林健漢神父及伍國超神父)。彌撒中將有不同民族的代表參與,彌撒後在總主教座堂的會堂有多姿多彩不同的民族表演,我們的太極師傅李師傅將會表演太極刀。敬請各教友穿着中國衣服參與這彌撒及協助表揚我們中國的文化。
3. 今天有健康舞班,練習時間是12:30 – 2:30. 在 聖若瑟樓舉行,請準時出席。
4. 兒童道理班將在9月25日復課,如家長還沒有與你們的子女為下學期的課程報名,請與Peter Wong在彌撒前或彌撒後報名。
5. 9月2日(星期五) 首膽禮六,晚上6時30分在本堂有明供聖體,7時30分有特敬聖心彌撒,歡迎各位教友參加。
6. 9月5日勞工節,辦事處休息一天。早上9時30分在聖堂有彌撒,歡迎教友參加,求主降福所有勞工者。
7. 在勞工節長週末的加 州天主教華人生活營 (CACCLC) 將在 Menlo- Park Vallombrosa Center 舉行。主題是「與天主,回到未來」。由來自加拿大溫哥華的何庭耀神父為主講神師。活動內容包括: 神父講座、小組分享、靈修體驗及見証等。請為他們祈禱,詳情,請瀏覽 請大家踴躍支持!多謝各位。
8. 恩保德神父和「逾越知音」為跟隨利瑪竇神父在中國福傳的足跡,去年從澳門到北京,將所見所聞攝製成DVD,現已空運到北美。彌撒後,歡迎到外面攤位購買。
9. 聖家會將在9月3-4日在Sierra Madre 的Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center舉辦退省,主題:「希望傳人」。退省主講者/導師是Calgary 的鄔維揚執事(Deacon John Wu, MD) ,會員費用是$100,非會員$120,請與Maggie Tsui 或Connie Lau報名。
10. 太極班將於9月16日星期五復課,Sandy Li師傅開始教授四十二式太極拳及太極推手,有興趣學習者,請於當日準時出席。學習時間逢星期三及星期五,由上午十時至十一時半,費用全免,歡迎向聯絡人Raymond Woo或Francis Yau查絢詳情及提供寳貴意見。
11. 本堂七位參加世青的青年已平安反回羅省,他們誠心感謝各教友的支持,祈禱及祝福,下主日或再下主目,他們將會與堂區教友分享他們的世青體驗。

The Twenty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. The Western U.S. Region of the Salesian family will host its Our Lady’s Day on Saturday, October 8th at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Rosemead. The Salesian family includes Salesian priests, brothers, and nuns, the Cooperators, the Old Boys, and many other organizations. The celebration will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the program will include Rosary, Procession of Our Lady, many seminars on Our Lady, and Mass. The latest news is our beloved Father Ho (何廣凌神父) will speak on Our Lady and the Trinity. The cost for the day is $12, and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Please register with the Cooperators after Mass.
2. The annual “Celebration of Cultures” sponsored by the multi-ethnic ministry of the Los Angeles Archdiocese will take place on September 17th. The Mass at 9:45 a.m. will be celebrated by Archbishop Jose Gomez, and co-celebrated by Bishop Alexander Salazar and Bishop Oscar Solis, as well as many priests of different ethnicities, including our own Father John Lam and Father Jay Wu. The Mass will be attended by representatives of many ethnicities, many in native costumes, and there will be ethnic performances in the hall of the cathedral after Mass. Our own Sifu Sandy Li will perform the Tai Chi Knife. If you plan to attend, please be sure to wear traditional Chinese costume to help propagate our native culture.
3. There will be Line Dance today from 12:30 to 2:30 in St. Joseph House.
4. CCD will resume on September 25th. Parents who have not registered for the coming semester please do so with Peter Wong before or after Mass.
5. September 2nd is first Friday. There will be adoration of the Host beginning at 6:30, and the Mass devoted to the Sacred Heart will be at 7:30. All parishioners are invited to attend.
6. September 5th will be Labor Day. The church office will be closed. However, there will be Mass at 9:30 a.m., please attend and pray for God’s blessing for all those who labor.
7. This year’s California Chinese Catholic Living Camp (CACCLC) will be held up in the Bay Area during Labor Day Weekend, from Friday September 2nd to Monday the 5th. The theme is “Back to the Future, with God,” and the spiritual director is Father Anthony Ho from Vancouver, Canada. Highlighted camp activities include father’s talks, group workshops, praise and worship, and taize. More information can also be found on http://www.cacclc.net. 8. Father Giovanni Giampretro (恩保德) and his FOJP (逾越知音) went from Macau to Beijing last year to follow the missionary footsteps of Father Matteo Ricci. They have made a DVD of their video. It is available today after Mass outside the church.
9. The Holy Family Society will hold its annual retreat from September 3rd to the 4th at the Mater Dolorosa Center in Sierra Madre. The theme of the retreat will be “To propagate hope.” The retreat director will be Deacon John Woo MD, from Calgary. The cost is $100 to members, and $120 to non-members. Please register with Maggie Tsui or Connie Lau.
10. Tai Chi classes will resume on Wednesday, September 14th. Sifu Sandy Li will begin instructions of the forty two form Yang style Tai Chi and mutual practice. Both new and old students are welcome. Please be punctual. Free classes are held every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30. Please contact Raymond Woo or Francis Yau for details and suggestions.
11. The seven attendees of World Youth Day from our church have returned safely to Los Angeles. They wholeheartedly thank all the parishioners for their support, prayers, and blessings. On the next two Sundays, they will share their WYD experiences with the parishioners.
