1. 多謝彭保祿神父今天代林神父為我們主持彌撒聖祭,林神父將於5月22日返回本堂。
2. 我們感謝林砷父,Joe & Betty Ng, Michael Lau及各善會成員合力為聖心修女的中國福傳工作而舉行的午宴籌款,感謝各教友大解善囊支持,願復活的主祝福我們慷慨的恩人,也願聖神沿途與修女們同在護佑她們一路平安,在中國福傳旅程中各修女為祢們祈禱。
3. 今天是兒童道理班最後一天上課,下學期將在9月23日開課,多謝各家長一路的支持,請不要忘紀帶同你們的孩子參與每主日的彌撒聖祭。
4. 今天下午12時30分至2時30分在聖若瑟樓有健康舞班練習,請準時出席。
5. 今天堂區在英文彌撒後舉行堂區同樂日,歡迎各教友帶同全家參,各善會將提供遊戲及很多獎品,男童軍家長將為你們預備豐富午餐,費用每位$5.
6. 5月24日晚上7時30分在本堂隆重慶祝聖母進教之佑瞻禮並為中國祈禱。
7. 5月26日星期六上午9時30分有彌撒為紀念James Wong,請各教友參加為他靈魂安息祈禱。
8. 美國首都華盛頓國家聖母大殿中華聖母壁像、將於8月4日舉行落成十週年朝聖活動。除參加中華聖母壁像慶典,行程還包括酒店,午晚餐,參觀華盛頓天主教主教座堂及遊覽名勝古蹟。有興趣參加者,請於彌撒後與Dr. Won Ng或Maggie Lau聯絡及報名。
9. 本堂的初級英文班現正招慕義務教師助理(Teacher Assistant),歡迎有興趣的男女青年或需要社區服務鐘數的中學生齊來協助,譲新移民能學到生活所需的言語技能。同時我們也需要一些年青人為英文班輯錄課程於CD上。有興趣者,請於彌撒後與Raymond Woo或Maggie Lau聯絡。
10. 堂區將於6月為今年的畢業生慶祝畢業感恩祭。我們會為畢業生祈禱,而堂區亦將會送贈一份禮物給參與彌撒的畢業生。任何教友,他們的子女,或孫子女今年在高中,職業學校,2年或4年大學,專業學校,碩士,或博士畢業的都歡迎參加。畢業生請與 Daniel Choy, Richard Cheung, 或 Theresa Ho 聯絡查詢及報名。
11. 新年度中文成人慕道班將於六月三日開課。時間每主日早上11:00~12:30。請將這消息傳送給你們的家人和親友,邀請他們到來認識我們的天主、我們的信仰。再慕道者,無任歡迎!請與林神父;葉修女和慕道班導師聯絡。
12. 聖家會在今年重組Hollywood Bowl音樂欣賞活動。日期:七月四日,將有美妙音樂及煙花會演。在音樂會前將有團體野餐。費用:會員$38,非會員$40 (包含門票及野餐的飲品和所需餐具)。彌撒後請與Paul Lee,Mary Wu或Victoria Huang報名及查詢。由於Hollywood Bowl的購票規限,五月十三日是團體最後購票日期,有興趣者請盡早登記購票。

The Seventh Sunday of Easter (Ascension of the Lord)
1. We wish to thank Father Paul Pang for celebrating Mass today in lieu of Father Lam, who will return on May 22.
2. We are grateful to Father Lam, Joe and Betty Ng, Michael Lau, and the members of all the sodalities for hosting the fund raising luncheon in support of the evangelization effort of the Sacred Heart sisters in China. We thank all the parishioners for their generosity. May the risen Christ bless everyone who gave their support, and may the Holy Spirit be with the sisters and guard their safety. The sisters will pray for all of you while on their evangelization journey.
3. Today is the last class for this year’s C.C.D. Classes will resume next school year on September 23, 2012. We wish to thank all the parents for their support, and don’t forget to bring the children to take part in the Sunday Masses during the recess.
4. There will be Line Dance today from 12:30 to 2:30 in St. Joseph House.
5. We will hold the St. Bridget Parish Festival today after the English Mass. Please come with your family and friends. The sodalities will be sponsoring games and prizes. The parents of the Boy Scouts will serve a sumptuous lunch for $5.
6. On Thursday May 24 at 7:30 p.m., we will solemnly celebrate the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, and pray for China.
7. There will be a requiem Mass for James Wong on Saturday May 26 at 9:30 a.m. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
8. The Chinese Catholic Community in Washington DC will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the installation of Our Lady of China Mosaic in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on August 4, 2012. It has also arranged for a National Pilgrimage for visitors from August 2 to 7, 2012. The pilgrimage will include lodging and meals, and will visit other historical sites in addition to Washington D.C. cathedrals. If you are interested in joining the pilgrimage, please contact Dr. Won Ng or Maggie Lau for detailed information and pilgrimage application.
9. The Basic English Class at St. Bridget is recruiting Teacher Assistants for its English class on Saturday mornings. We welcome the young adults and/or high school students who need to earn community service hours. If you are interested, please contact Maggie Lau or Raymond Woo before June 1, 2012.
10. This June, the parish will celebrate a graduation mass for this year’s graduates. We will pray for the graduates and the participating graduates will receive a gift. Any parishioners, their children, or grandchildren graduating this year from high school, vocation school, 2-yr or 4-yr college, and professional or graduate school are welcome to participate. Please contact Daniel Choy, Richard Cheung, or Theresa Ho for details and sign-up.
11. RCIA for this year will begin on June 3. The time is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 on Sundays. Please let your families and friends know, and invite them to get to know our God, and our faith. Old students are very welcome! Please contact Father Lam, sister Grace, or the RCIA teachers.
