2/17/2013 四旬期第一主日

1. 今天健康舞班將於下午12:30至 2:30在聖若瑟樓舉行練習。
2. 2月18日總統紀念日是公眾假期，是日堂區辦事處休假一天，如有要事，請與林神父聯絡(323)382-5922。
3. 2月22日四旬期星期五，本堂於晚上7時30分有英文拜苦路，請各位教友踴躍參加，特敬耶穌苦難，是日當守小齋。
4. 2月23日(星期六) 上午9時30分在聖堂有彌撒，歡迎各位教友參加。
5. 由於華埠一年一度的Fire Crackers Run將在2/24舉行，Broadway將被封閉至上午11點。請由Hill St. 可進來Cottage Home St. 更容易的選擇是把車停在Bamboo Plaza內，也許你可以考慮參加在上午11時15分的英語彌撒。各牧民議會會員，請協助散佈封路的消息。
6. 本堂四旬期退省定於3月9日上午9時舉行。 中文講者是來自加拿大Calgary的阮明聰神父,英文講者是Fr. Chris Woerz, SDB。 為鼓勵教友及早報名,於2月25日前報名及繳費者每位$10包午餐。另為方便年青家庭,當日有為10歲以下小童設有兒童節目,25日前費用為$5包午餐.請與Angela Chan, Victoria Huang, Vincent Yip查詢及報名。
7. 羅省總教區多元化民族部主辮的四旬期退省已定於3月2日早上8時30分至下午4時30分在San Gabriel Mission Center舉行。主講者為羅省總教區修女部主任Sr. Cecilia Canales, O.P. 。費用為每位$15包括午餐及下午茶點。請與MICHAEL LAU報名。
8. 免費報稅服務(Vita Program) 已於2月2日在本堂開始至4月13日。請各教友通知有需要的人仕。凡有興趣參加報稅服務義工者，請與Raymond Wong聯絡。
9. 為很好福傳的機會，本堂在中國農曆新年2/16-17華埠的新春園遊會設有一攤位來推動我們教會的工作和吸引更多的人來認識天主教。攤位於HILL ST. 及ORD ST. 的停車場。 我們鼓勵所有的教友和他們的朋友前來參觀我們攤位遊戲並有大量獎品送出。
10. 多謝各教友的支持，上主日『共襄福傳』累積捐款為$3,177.58.。今主日將會繼續第二次奉獻。

St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church Bulletin
2/17/2013 First Sunday of Lent
1. There will be line dance today from 12:30 to 2:30 in St. Joseph House.
2. 2/18, President’s Day is a legal holiday; the parish office will be closed. In case of emergency, please call Fr. Lam (323) 382-5922.
3. 2/22, Friday evening 7:30PM, English Stations of the Cross will be held at Church. Please be reminded that day is a day of Abstinence.
4. Mass is celebrated at Church 9:30AM, Saturday, 2/23.
5. Due to the annual Firecrackers Run through Chinatown neighborhood on 2/24, Broadway will be closed until 11 am. Please come by Hill Street. It may be easier to park your car at Bamboo Plaza entering from Bernard St. Perhaps you can consider attending the English Mass at 11:15 am. Both Mass schedules will remain the same. All PPC members, please inform your members of the road closure, and the alternative.
6. Parish Lenten Retreat is scheduled for March 9th, starting 9:00AM. The Chinese facilitator is Fr. Joseph Nguyen from Calgary. English facilitator is Fr. Chris Woerz, SDB. To encourage early registration the cost is $10 per person, before 2/25, including lunch. Programs are also planned for children under 10 years old. Cost for children under 10 is $5 if registered before 2/25. Please register with Victoria Huang, Angela Chan or Vincent Yip.
7. The annual Office of Ethnic Ministry’s Lenten Retreat is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, from 8:30AM to 4:30PM at San Gabriel Mission Center. Cost is $15 per person including lunch and snack. Please register with Michael Lau.
8. St. Bridget’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) has begun on February 2nd to April 13th. Please tell your friends and those that may benefit from this service. We are also seeking volunteers to staff this program. If you are interested, please contact Raymond Wong for details.
9. St Bridget is sponsoring a booth in the Chinese New Year Street Fair on 2/16-17. The location is the parking lot between Hill and Ord Street. This is a good way to promote our church and evangelize the Chinese neighborhood. We encourage all parishioners and their friends to come and visit our booth. There are games and lots of prizes.
10. Thanks to your generosity, the cumulative collection for Together In Mission as of February 10, 2013 is $3,177.58.. We will continue second collection for this campaign.
