- 香港教區司鐸協會會長–關傑棠神父,將於五月七日至十日到訪LA,於五月八日到St. Bridget主持中文彌撒。彌撒後會見教友,並為購買其著作「漁夫集–精選篇」簽名。是日下午十二時三十分至一時三十分在聖堂和大家分享「教友年」的意義和教友的使命。歡迎教友們參加!

- 本堂資深教友吳栢源先生Patrick Ng於4月25日早上蒙主寵召。我們感謝吳先生多年來拹助服務堂區,特別幫助為暖流打中文字。喪禮正在安排中。請各位教友為吳先生的靈魂安息祈禱。
- 為慶祝母親節,耆英組本月在下星期六的聚會將改於本星期六,5月7日舉行,同時將有免費午餮分享和送贈鮮花給各母親。敬請各會員準時出席。
- 聖母軍已於上月選出新任職員:會長- Josephine Wong , 副會長- Susie Tran , 秘書- Maggie Tsui , 財政- Helen Lee , 恭喜各職員。
- 5月7日是中華聖母瞻禮,早上9時30分在聖堂有彌撒,特別求聖母降福祖國所有教友。
- 耆英組將在5日14日,星期六舉辦一年一度的朝聖一日遊,當日早上8時開始到下午5時半,旅程將是聖若望神學院 (St. John Seminary),Camarillo Outlet 及San Buenaventura Mission. 歡迎各教友參加,費用為$20一位。
- 聖家組將在5月14-15日舉辦兩日旅遊到死亡谷及拉斯維加斯。會員費用是$130,其他參加者費用是$140。名頟有限,有意參加者與Maggie Tsui或Stanley Chu報名。
- 北美華語第十八屆天主教基督活力運動實習班將於5月26至29日在河濱縣聖言會舉行。彭保祿神父是其中講者之一,有興趣者請盡快與Maggie Lau聯絡及報名。
- 本堂區將於5月27日下午12時至7時在聖若瑟樓栛助總教區舉辦打手指紋紀錄登記,如有教友在堂區服務及與十八歲以下少青有接觸者,如還沒有履行這登記,請聯絡Michael Lau預約。

The Second Sunday of Easter
- We thank the parishioners of St. Bridget’s for their wholehearted support of the Sacred Heart sisters’ mission to evangelize China. Sister Grace is preparing for the 2011 trip, which our church is supporting actively. On Mother’s Day, May 8th, you will have an opportunity to take part in the fund raising luncheon. To express our gratitude to the mothers, their lunches will be provided for free, if their free tickets are obtained by today May 1st. On Mother’s Day, all tickets will be sold.
- We thank all those who took part in planning and supporting the Easter (colored) egg hunt. It brought a lot of joy and pleasure to the children participating, plus a lot of adults as well. Thank you for being the body of Christ in this Easter season.
- Fr John Kwan, the chair of the Hong Kong diocese priests association, is visiting Los Angeles from May 7th through 10th. He will celebrate the Chinese Mass at St. Bridget’s on May 8th. After Mass, he will meet with the parishioners and sign his latest book “The Fisherman”. (The book will be sold to HFS members for half price.) From 12:30 to 1:30 he will give a talk in the church on the meaning of “the Year of the Laity” and the mission of the laity. All parishioners are welcome to attend!
- There will be line dance today in St. Joseph House from 12:30 to 2:30.
- Mr. Patrick Ng, our long time parishioner and Chinese editor of Warm Front, was recalled by the Lord on April 25th. We thank Mr. Ng for all his contributions to our church, especially his work on Warm Front. Funeral rites are being arranged. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
- To celebrate Mother’s Day, the monthly meeting of the Everyoung Society has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 7th. There will be a free lunch, plus free corsages for the mothers. Please attend punctually.
- Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Legion of Mary: Chair Josephine Wong, Vice-Chair Susie Tran, Secretary Maggie Tsui, and Treasurer Helen Lee.
- May 7th is the Feast of Our Lady of China. There will be a Mass in our church at 9:30 to pray that our Lady will bestow special blessings on all the Catholics in China.
- The annual pilgrimage of the Everyoung Society will take place on Saturday May 14th from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will include St. John’s Seminary, the Camarillo Outlet and the San Buenaventura Mission. All parishioners are welcome. The cost is $20 per person.
- The Holy Family Society will sponsor a bus tour to Death Valley and Las Vegas for Saturday May 14th through Sunday May 15th. The cost is $130 for members and $140 for non-members. Seating is limited. Please contact Maggie Tsui or Stanley Chu to register.
- The 18th annual Chinese Cursillo Movement workshop will take place from May 26th to 29th at the Riverside Holy Word Society. Father Paul Pang will be one of the speakers. If you are interested, please contact Maggie Lau to register as soon as possible.
- On Friday, May 27th from noon to 7 p.m. in St. Joseph House, our church will assist the archdiocese in fingerprinting and registration for the parishioners who serve in the church and have contact with young people under the age of 18. Please contact Michael Lau for reservation if you need to be registered.
