Announcements
1. 9/27(Wed.) is the Feast Day of St. Vincent de Paul. He established seminaries to provide spiritual training to the religious, and his mission was to serve the poor.
2. 9/29(Fri.) is the Feast Day of Sts Michael, Gabriel and Raphael the Archangels. St Michael means “Who is as God?”, St Gabriel means “Strength of God” and St. Raphael means “God heals.”
3. There will be 9:30am Mass on 9/30(Sat.), all are welcome. It is also the Feast Day of St. Jerome, who is best known for his translation and commentaries on the Bible. We pray that he teaches us to love the Bible.
4. Our parishioner Nancy Cheung’s brother John Cheung has returned to the Lord in Hong Kong. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
5. In today’s Mass, Father Lam welcomed, blessed and commissioned three new Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers, namely Ching Ching Law, Aileen Louie and Virginia Wong. He also renewed the commissions of the current Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers in the English Mass.
6. Yesterday, Father Lam celebrated Mass of Resurrection for 何柱良先生, burial was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
7. Father Lam also offered Memorial Mass for Jeanette Lai Chow (Julia Wu’s sister). Please pray for the repose of their souls.
8. Boy Scout Troop 168 would like to thank the St. Bridget parishioners for supporting our fundraising sale last Sunday. The money raised will be used to support our various Scout and Camping activities. Thank you again and God Bless you for your support
9. Dinner tickets for the St. Bridget’s 78th Celebration Dinner is now sold out. Thank you for your support. See you on 10/7 at NBC Seafood Restaurant. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Program starts at 6:30 pm. Please plan to arrive on time.
