Announcements

1) US Salesian West Province will celebrate the Diamond, Gold and Silver Jubilee of Ordination and Profession on September 19 at 5:00pm in Sts. Peter & Paul Church, San Francisco. Fr. John Lam will celebrate his Golden Jubilee of Priestly Ordination and Diamond Jubilee of Profession. He will go o S.F. On September 18, and be back to LA on September 21. During his absence, Fr. Peter Pong, the Associate Pastor will take care of the church affairs. In case of emergency, please call him at (323) 372-4987.

2) Young Families Group will host a Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration Fair on September 19, 2021 (Sunday) from 11am to 3:30 pm. There will be food sales, games, and photo booths. Today presale tickets is available for all the parishioners. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Mary Help of Christian Center Funds. All are welcome to join!

3) Boy Scout Troop 168 is coming back to St. Bridget. After over a year on Zoom, the Boy Scouts are coming back to meet in-person on Sunday, today at 1:30 pm and every Sunday thereafter. If you know anyone at least 11 years old that would like to learn something new, and have fun doing it come and checkout the Boy Scouts. Some of our most recent activities include an Urban Hike through Downtown LA, and a Beach Cleanup and fun at Santa Monica Beach. Future activities include, hiking, bike riding, short weekend and weeklong camping. For those that are between 5-and 10-years old they should look into our Cub Scout Pack 168. They will meet in person again on September 26 at 1:30 pm. Some of their activities are craft projects, outings, and camping.

4) The 2021-2022 Religious Education school year will begin on 9/19/2021. We are excited to be hosting the classes in-person at Cathedral High School at 9:30am on Sundays. Children aged 3 and up are encouraged to sign up. Tuition is $60/year for 1 child, $75 for 2 children from the same family, $85 for 3. We look forward to sharing our faith with your children. 5) Now the Archdiocese has announced to resume Mass in the church. Fr. Lam will resume our regular First Friday Eucharistic Adoration at 6:30pm and Sacred Heart of Jesus Devotional Mass at 7:30pm. On the 3rd Friday of every month, Fr. Peter Pong will be leading Lectio Divina for us at 8:00pm. All are welcome to join! Next meeting on 9/17/2021.

6) Thank you for supporting the celebration dinner to honor Fr. Lam’s 50th priesthood anniversary and welcome Fr. Peter Pong joining the St Bridget Family. The celebration dinner will be held on Oct 9. The deadline for ticket sales is Sep 15. To ensure more space among the guests, the number of tables available is limited, we have only a few seats left. Please purchase the tickets before 9/16. And for those who have reserved seats, please pay by Sep 16 as well.

堂區報告

1) 美西慈幼會將於九月十九日下午五時在三藩市聖伯多祿聖保祿堂慶祝慈幼會神父及修士的晉鐸及發願鑽禧、金禧、銀禧。今年本堂林神父晉鐸金禧及入會鑽禧﹐所以他將於九月十八日前往三藩市並於九月廿一日返回羅省﹐其間一切堂區大小事將由副本堂龐秉輝神父處理。如有要事﹐請與他聯絡: (323) 372-4987。

2) 主恩小家庭將於九月十九日上午十一時至下午三時三十分舉辦”主恩滿心慶中秋”。屆時將有午餐售賣、遊戲和照相攤位。今日會向所有教友預售午餐券。部分活動收益將捐贈給進教之佑社區中心建設工程與善會服務 。歡迎大家踴躍參加！

3) 童子軍 168 團將返回羅省華人天主堂。 在 Zoom 上度過一年多之後，今日下午 1:30 和此後的每個星期日再次親臨會面。 如果您認識至少 11 歲的青少年想要學習新事物並從中獲得樂趣，那就來參加童子軍吧。 我們最近的一些活動包括穿越洛杉磯市中心的城市遠足、一次的海灘清潔行動，及在聖莫尼加海灘的娛樂遊戲。 未來的活動包括遠足、騎自行車、短週末和為期一周的露營。 對於 5 至 10 歲的孩子，他們可以參加我們的 幼童軍168 團。他們將於 9 月 26 日下午 1:30 再次見面。 他們的一些活動包括工藝、郊遊和露營等。

5) 現在教區宣佈恢復正常在教堂內彌撒。林神父將會重開每月第一個星期五晚上六時卅分朝拜聖體, 晚上七時卅分首瞻禮六聖心彌撒。每月第三個星期五晚上八時將由龐神父為教友帶領網上誦讀聖言，請大家踴躍參加。下次聚會時間9/17/2021.

6) 感謝大家支持在10 月9 日為慶祝林健漢神父晉鐸五十週年與歡迎龐秉輝神父加入華人天主堂大家庭舉辦的晚會。 為了保持賓客間有較多的距離, 今年的檯數比以往大幅減少, 我們現在只有小量的餘位。 如未購票的, 請在9 月16 日前購買; 留了位而未付錢的, 亦請在9 月16 日前缴交。
