羅省華人天主堂消息 4/03/2011 四旬期第四主日

主題:信仰的代價。

1. 上主日為日本大地震及海嘯的災民捐欵,多謝各教友熱力慷慨支持,捐贈的總收入為$6,514。所有的捐欵將遞交給總教區轉送到日本教區代理,請在彌撤後取回收據。
2. 本主日堂區繼續為教區〝Together in Mission〞收第二次奉献,現在共收到$3,638.65。本堂區捐款目標是$7,247.80。
3. 四旬期內由3月11日至4月22日,逢星期五晚上7時30分在聖堂內有拜苦路,請各位教友參加。
4. 為嚮應三月份的 ” 國家營養月”, 本堂教友, 專業營養師吴希素, 特為我們主持 “糖尿病的食療及預防” 的免費講座。時間為今天, 11:00 – 12:30, 在聖若瑟樓大廳. 對這個主題有興趣的教友請踴躍参加。
5. 今天有健康舞班練習,時間是下午12:30 – 2:30. 在 St. Joseph House,請準時出席。
6. 少青組(TFC)今天英文彌撒後開會,請各會員準時出席。
7. 4月5日清明節,請各位教友為已亡的親友祈禱,求主賜他們永生。
8. 4月6日林神父將往西雅圖(Seattle) 主持四旬期退省(4/9/11) 及主日聖祭(4/10/11) ,之後前往Oregon探望二位兄長及家人。4月14日反回羅省。林神父度假期間將由王建章神父代理。如有要事,請與Michael Lau聯絡。
9. 堂區四旬期中文退省將於4月16日星期六舉行,由來自温哥華的何庭耀神父主講,主題是「成聖之道」。費用為$10包括午餐。如有興趣參加者請在中文彌撒後報名。
10. 陳景浚先生於3月27日領受聖洗及傅油聖事。3月28日蒙主寵召。他的殯葬禮安排如下:4月8日星期五晚上6時至7時將舉行守靈祈禱,4月9日上午10時舉行逾越聖祭。全部禮儀在本堂由王建章神父主特。如泊車位不足可停泊於St. Peter聖堂停車場。
11. 耆英組將在5日14日,星期六舉辦一年一度的朝聖一日遊,當日早上8時開始到下午5時半,旅程將是聖若望神學院,Camarillo Outlet 及Mission San Fernando Rey De Espana. 歡迎各教友參加,費用為$20一位。
12. 聖家組將在5月14-15日舉辦兩日旅遊到死亡谷及拉斯維加斯。會員費用是$130,其他參加者費用是$140。名頟有限,有意參加者與Maggie Tsui或Stanley Chu報名。
13. 本堂繼續直至4/16為本堂教友及鄰近社區低收入人仕免費報2010年的個人入息稅. 只要家庭總收入不超過$40,000, 便可接受此項服務. 請大家通知可享用這項服務的親友. 查眴及預約電話 (323)222-5518。

The Fourth Sunday of Lent

1. The corrected total for the second collection for donations to the survivors of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami was $6514. All donations will be turned over to the Archdiocese to be forwarded to the Japanese diocese. Please pick up your receipt after Mass.
2. The second collection for “Together in Mission” has resumed. We have collected $3638.65 towards the target $7247.80.
3. There will be a Station of the Cross every Friday at 7:30 p.m. during Lent (from March 11th through April 22nd). All parishioners are encouraged to attend.
4. In support of March being designated as “National Nutrition Month”, our parishioner nutritionist Hazel Ng will hold a free seminar on “Nutrition for Diabetes and its Prevention.” It will be on Sunday, April 3rd from 11 to 12:30 in St. Joseph House. It will be a great opportunity for those concerned to obtain information on the subject.
5. There will be a line dance today at St. Joseph House from 12:30 to 2:30.
6. TFC will meet today after the English Mass. All members please attend punctually.
7. Tuesday, April 5th is the Chinese feast day of Ching Ming. Please pray for the repose of the souls of all your deceased relatives and friends.
8. Father Lam will fly to Seattle on Wednesday April 6th to preside over the retreat on the 9th and the Sunday Mass on the 10th. He will go to Oregon to visit his two older brothers and families afterwards. He will return to Los Angeles on Thursday April 14th. In his absence Father Wang will assume his duties. For important personal business please contact Michael Lau.
9. Our Church’s annual Cantonese retreat will be held on April 16th. It will be directed by Fr. Anthony Ho from Vancouver. The topic will be “the Way to Sainthood.” The cost is $10 and includes lunch. Please register after the Chinese Mass.
10. Mr. Chan Ging Jeung (phonetic translation) received Baptism and Anointing on Sunday March 27th, and was recalled by the Lord on the 28th. His funeral arrangement is as follows: the wake will be on Friday April 8th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the requiem Mass will be on Saturday April 9th at 10 a.m. All the services will be presided over by Father Wang at this church. Overflow parking, if necessary, has been arranged with St. Peter’s at its parking lot.
11. The annual pilgrimage of the Everyoung Society will take place on Saturday May 14th from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will include St. John’s Seminary, the Camarillo Outlet and Mission San Fernando Rey De Espana. All parishioners are welcome. The cost is $20 per person.
12. The Holy Family Society will sponsor a bus tour to Death Valley and Las Vegas for Saturday May 14th through Sunday May 15th. The cost is $130 for members and $140 for non-members. Seating is limited, please contact Maggie Tsui or Stanley Chu as soon as possible.
13. Our church is continuing its participation in VITA, which is a free income tax service for neighboring low income families, through April 16th. You can avail yourself of this service if your family income is below $40,000. Please inform your family and friends. For information or appointment, please call (323)222-5518.
