Bulletin Announcements — 05-25-2014

1. The Youth Ministry will continue their summer basketball camp this year:

*   The camp will be from June 29 to August 31.

*   The ten weeks will be divided into two sessions.

*   There will be practice every Sunday from 9:30a.m. to 10:45a.m.

*   Every other Sunday, after practice and English Mass, lunch will be served.  We will go to the Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club to take part in their competition, until 2:30p.m.

*   The cost will be $30 for one session, or $45 for two session.

*   Anyone interested please contact Virginia Wong to register.

2. The Scholarship Committee of this church has begun to accept applications.  Current high school students and university students (who are baccalaureate candidates) can apply.  Deadline is June 1st.  Please contact Father Lam or Ken Dong for application forms.

3. The annual HFS Hollywood Bowl event has been changed to Saturday, July 5.  As usual, we will have picnic, concert, and then fireworks.  The concert will be “An Evening of Chinese Splendor”, with the Yellow River Piano Concerto, Wang Leehom, and acrobats. Paul Lee will be taking reservations after both Masses every week until June 29, which will be the last day for reservations.  Only 60 tickets have been reserved, so hurry.

4. There will be line dance practice today from 12:30p.m. to 2:30p.m. at St. Joseph House.

5. Monday, May 26 is Memorial Day. The church office will be closed.  For emergencies, please directly contact Fr. Lam at 323-382-5922.

6. Thursday, May 29 is Ascension Thursday.  However, the Los Angeles Archdiocese is celebrating Ascension on Sunday, June 1.

7. Saturday, May 31 is the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (to Elizabeth).  A thanksgiving Mass specially honoring Our Lady will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.  All parishioners are welcome.

1.  本堂青年牧民小組將在今年暑假期間繼續舉辦籃球夏令營。

*   日期由6月29日至8月31日，分兩期合共十週。

*   逢星期日上午9時30分至10時45分練習。

*   每隔一星期日在練習及參與英文彌撒後，更安排午飯、並前往慈幼會青年中心參與比賽。時間至當天下午2時30分。

*   費用一期五週30元或兩期十週45元。

*    有興趣者請與Virginia Wong聯絡及報名。

2. 本堂獎學金委員會已開始接受申請。凡現就讀中學或大學學士學位的本堂教友均可申請。截止日期為6月1日。申請表格請與林神父或Ken Dong聯絡。

3. 聖家會將於7月5日（星期六）舉行年度的荷李活碗活動。內容包括自助野餐、音樂會（中華輝煌之夜、王力宏、雜技、黃河鋼琴協奏曲）及煙花。請於今天5月25日（星期日）至6月29日（星期日）期間或在星期日彌撒後與 Paul Lee 聯絡。只限60張門票，先到先得。

4. 健康舞班將於今天下午12時30分至2時30分在聖若瑟樓練習。

5. 5月26日（星期一）美國國殤日。堂區辦事處休假一天。如有要事，請直接與林神父聯絡：323-382-5922。

6. 5月29日（星期四）耶穌升天瞻禮。羅省總教區攺於6月1日（星期日）慶祝。

7. 5月31日（星期六）聖母訪親慶日。上午9時30分聖堂舉行感恩祭，特敬聖母。歡迎各位教友參加。
