Bulletin Announcements — 10-25-2014
We will make the second collection today for Mission Sunday, which was deferred from last week due to our Diamond Jubilee. Thank you all for your generous support.
There will be line dance practice today from 12:30p.m. to 2:30p.m. in St. Joseph House.
Saturday, November 1 is All Saints’ Day. Due to the fact that it occurs on a Saturday, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation in the U.S. However, we will have a Mass at 9:30 a.m., and all parishioners are welcome to take part.
Sunday, November 2, is All Souls’ Day. We will pray for our deceased friends and relatives in every Mass. Parishioners can also complete the form for the “intentions during Mass for our ancestors during All Souls’ Month.” Please place in the special wooden box after completing the form. We will pray for all the listed deceased during the entire month of November.
Teens for Christ is kicking off their annual “Turkey and Canned Food Drive” to support St. Mary’s Food Pantry Program with a Bake Sale next Sunday, November 2nd. The drive will continue till November 23rd. Please support this worthwhile cause and treat yourself to some freshly made and delicious goods. In addition to supporting our bake sale, please donate some canned foods or a turkey. Canned foods can be brought anytime till November 23rd. If you would like to donate a turkey, please bring it on Sunday, November 23rd. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
St. Bridget’s Boy Scout Troop 168 is having an Open House on November 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and would like to invite all interested boys and parents to attend. If you are unable to attend the Open House, please e-mail our Scoutmaster Kelvin Leung at kelvleungB@yahoo.com, or talk to any uniformed Boy Scout or Boy Scout leader you may see at St. Bridget. Information about Cub Scouts may also be obtained at the Open House or by contacting Aileen Louie at 818-246-1740.
