Announcements
1. Today the Snack Team will have fundraising with boba drink, tea eggs, mochi, spam musubi etc.
2. August 10, Saturday there will be Mass at 9:30 am followed by an hour of Adoration. Let us pray for the situation of Hong Kong , may God bless all people of HK and heal the division among parties.
3. Virtus Recertification training on Sunday, 8/11/19, from 9:30 – 11:00am, at St. Joseph House. This training is for those who’s certification will expire at the end of August. Since the training is conducting during Chinese Mass time, it is recommended that the training participants attend the English Mass at 11:15. Register with Denise Woo.
4. 8/ 15 (Thursday) at 7:30pm. Legion of Mary celebrates Our Lady of Assumption Feast Day. It is also Day of Obligation All are welcome to attend Mass.
5. Bereavement ministry elected new officers for a two-year term in the 7/30/2019 meeting:Coordinator – Betty Ng, Assistant Coordinator – Teresa Lau, Secretary – Venita Chu, Treasurer – Angela Yeung. We thank the officers for accepting the responsibilities, serving in a ministry of compassion, supporting the families in times of need.
6. Father Lam will hold a training session for members of the Eucharistic Ministry on Saturday, 8/31/2019 after the 9:30 am Mass. Members in both the Chinese and English Mass please mark your calendar and attend.
7. The Annual Church group photo will be taken on August 18, 2019 Sunday at around 10:45am between the Chinese mass and the English mass. Please save the date. The photo will be in the 80th anniversary dinner program book.
8. HFS Hollywood Bowl – PINK MARTINI BAND concerts on 8/24, 2019. Tickets on sale now. Price is $35/members and $40/ non-members. There is a potluck party before the concert. Please sign up (plus payment) with Holy Family Society members after Chinese/English Mass.
9. The new RCIA class has started. Please invite your family and friends, who do not know about God or those baptized and want to learn about the Catholic faith again, to join the RCIA class. For more information please contact Fr. Lam, Sister Maria Lai, Ken Man, Savio Chan, Connie Lau David Law, or Eric Li.
10. We are now accepting registration of the 2019-2020 Religious Education Program for children age 3 and up. Classes include Good Shepherd Program, Kindergarten, First Communion, elementary school, middle school, and Confirmation Program. Please contact Ching Ching or Cindy Ng, or call (323) 222-5518.
11. 80th Anniversary Celebration Dinner program book is now accepting ads. Please encourage your friends and businesses to advertise on our program book. Personal messages are also welcome. Please contact Agnes Yeung, Amy Chau or Rita Chu.
12. Capital campaign for the Mary help of Christians center is now underway. Anyone interested to donate please contact Selina Ko.

1. 今天8/4小食組繼續有小食義賣,包括波霸特飲, 茶葉蛋, 糯米糍, 午餐肉壽司等.
2. 8月10日星期六上午9時30分本堂有彌撒聖祭，之後有明供聖体一小時，請特別為香港社會動蕩不安，緊急祈求天主的祝福和醫治。
3. VIRTUS證書更新班於8/11 9:30-11AM在聖若瑟樓舉行,是次特為將在8/29到期的朋友而設.舉行時間與中文彌撒時間相衝,請參加者課後參與英文彌撒.報名請聯絡Denise Woo.
4. 8月15日(四)晚7時30分, 聖母軍慶祝聖母蒙召升天瞻禮，當天亦是當守瞻禮，歡迎各教友參加彌撒。
5. 善寧組於七月三十日選舉會議選出新幹事:會長 – 伍趙月萍, 副會長 – Teresa Lau, 書記 – Venita Chu, 財務 – 麥綺玲.多謝各幹事接受給予亡者親友屬靈上關懷及協助的使命.
6. 為加強送聖體員牧民的神修及重温任內職責的重點, 林神父定於八月三十一日,星期六, 安排訓練課程. 時間在早上9:30彌撒後. 請送聖體員留意, 到時參加.
7. 年度堂區合影將於8/18主日上午10:45分在中英彌撒之間拍攝。請記下日期。這張照片將出現在80週年晚宴場刊中。
