Parish Finance Council

As mandated by Canon Law, St. Bridget’s Finance Council serves as an advisory board to the pastor.  In that capacity and working in collaboration with the pastor, the Finance Council oversees and gives recommendation to all financial matters of the parish.  Its responsibilities include assisting the pastor in the preparation of the annual parish budget, preparing financial statements and the annual parish report to the archdiocese, monitoring income and expenditures for budget compliance, making recommendations on investments, parish fiscal policy and controls.  Council members are also responsible for the accounting of the weekly Sunday collections.

Appointed by the pastor, the Council is made up of active members of St. Bridget who have expertise in finance and accounting.  Each member is appointed for a three-year term, and the group meets on a quarterly basis.
